For each of the six perspectives, which correspond to the first six modules of the course, you will select a minimum of TWO resources, outside of the SOCI-200 course lectures and readings, that gave you the greatest insight into that perspective. Remember that you are not limited to the type of information resource to include, as long as it is credible and relevant to the week’s perspective. A good way to approach selecting resources for each week’s entries is as follows: · Week 1: What resources did I find most useful for gaining insight into the academic approach to social justice? · Week 2: What resources did I find most useful for gaining insight into social justice movements? · Week 3: What resources did I find most useful for gaining insight into social inequities? · Week 4: What resources did I find most useful for gaining insight into organizational and industry responses to inequities? · Week 5: What resources did I find most useful for gaining insight into personal responses to human diversity? · Week 6: What resources did I find most useful for gaining insight into the role of creative expression of marginalized identities in the arts? The entries for your annotated bibliography will be preceded by an introduction that first explains who your audience is and the purpose of the bibliography. The audience you choose should be an identified group of people whom you think would benefit from the resources you find. You can choose from a professional, civic, or personal audience. You may want to choose a fairly general audience and purpose in Week 1 and then refine them for the final version of the annotated bibliography in Week 7. In addition to the purpose and audience for your annotated bibliography, the introduction should include the social justice perspectives that the resources will address: · Academic Approach · Social Inequities · Social Justice Movements · Organizational & Industry Responses to Inequities · Personal Responses to Human Diversity · Creative Expression of Marginalized Identities. The introduction does not need to be lengthy; a paragraph should do it. The annotation will be one or two paragraphs that: a) summarize what the source is, who it is intended for, and what it is about, b) provide your assessment of the resource’s credibility, c) explain how the resource is relevant to the social justice perspective for that week.
