Assessment 1 Information
Individually, you are required to analyse an event of your choice and create an even brief of 800 words by over-viewing its core dimensions.
The purpose of this individual assignment is to develop student skills in understanding the role of events and attractions within the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. This will enable you to learn the building blocks of the events management practices.
Before making a choice, please conduct preliminary research first to determine the availability of information. If you find that the number of sources about your chosen event is limited, please consult your workshop facilitator to discuss an alternative.
Once you have chosen an event, you are to undertake an analysis of the following aspects:
You must incorporate theories and concepts related to events management discussed in the topics from weeks 1 to 4. In preparing your event brief, you will need to use at least 10 sources of information that are referenced in accordance with Kaplan Harvard Referencing Guide. These may include corporate websites, government publications, industry reports, census data, journal articles, and newspaper articles.
